You may complete your membership online or via US mail.  If you use US mail, please complete the membership form and return it with your payment confirmation from Paypal. You will receive your membership materials  within 7-10 business days. Please note, all memberships are annual, individual and non-transferrable.

Annual memberships are available to individuals, and provide an excellent opportunity to teach children and youth to support cultural institutions. As a member of The Griot Museum of Black History, you can enjoy 10% off purchases in the Griot’s“Motherland Museum Shop,“ along with the following benefits:

Growing Griot ($15, ages 12 and under)---Villager ($50)—Elder’s Circle Members ($35, ages 65 and above): Official membership card, subscription to “The Griot“, our official newsletter, and advance notice to public lectures, programs, workshops.

Sankofa  Circle ($100-$300*): All “Villager” benefits, plus invitations to select exhibit previews, plus a $25 gift certificate. *Please note, you may join the Sankofa Circle up to $300.

The Griot Society ($500+):  Your name will be listed on a plaque that will be displayed in The Griot and you will be highlighted on our website so that all who visit, residents and visitors from around the world, will see you as one who supports us.  If you wish, you will also receive an artistic thank you gift and a complimentary one-time use of The Griot's galleries for your private event!
