Soul to Sole at the Griot

  • The Griot Museum 2505 Saint Louis Avenue St. Louis, MO, 63106 United States (map)

Join us this year as the Griot Museum hosts the starting line for the inaugural Lou Mile race organized by the STL Run Crew. The Lou Mile is a signature Saint Louis race experience that brings together people of all ages and abilities through movement, celebrates the rich culture and history of our city, and inspires healthy, connected communities. You can register for the Lou Mile here and join the 1-mile run that extends from the Griot Museum down Saint Louis Avenue to the area near Crown Candy. Saint Louis Avenue around the Griot Museum will be closed from 7:30-9:30am for the run.

In support of the Lou Mile run, the Griot Museum will host interactive activities and athletic themed sales for the day. Bring a pair of shoes between 10-2pm and join artist Gundia Lock-Clay as she guides you through a free shoe-decorating activity. Brighten up an old pair of sneakers with a new look, or add that missing ingredient to a new pair of kicks! People of all arts and craft experience levels are welcome.
